Yep -Au Pair much cheaper - about $250 a week from what I saw. Not my bag but an option.

Lucky escape - thought we may catch you in Heathrow. We're Singapore airlines. Us and 4 kids aged 5,3,almost 2 and 5 months. This is going to be the most traumatic 32 hours of my life I think.

I'm definitely looking for free school which sounds like the finish at 3pm ones. I was hoping for devonport/belmont area to be close to the ferries although I know this is not cheap - any further up...

Thanks all for your help. I thought there would be catches to it all but you've confirmed the details - agree that $55K is way too much to spend on a car but other half and I don't seem to agree on...

Were planning on emigrating to Nz through my husbands company on a talent visa (24 months minimum) arriving about September. I've literally found out I'm pregnant (4th child - bit unplanned -eek!)....
