who you flying with?, bags should be maximum per person surely as each person is paying for their own flights even if it is all on one booking.
we had four people flying, 2 adults 2 kids and each of us got 23kg, didn't know/think about asking for extra as we where emigrating but might try that next time we fly over on our one way tickets

Well stock up first as I said. Obviously at some point you will have to start buying them here. I find Bendon pretty good, and larger branches of Farmers. In fact the lady at Farmers offered to ring round some other branches to see if they had the size I wanted. I went into Bendon when it was quiet and the lady there was very helpful and selected a bunch for me to try on.

If you can stump up for Premium Economy you get 2 x 23kg for each traveller.

Packing done, we are bringing 6 bags between us, and the pram and two carseats and our cabin bags. Can't cope with any more baggage!

How exciting, can totally sympathise with the luggage and then having to drag if through airports etc is not fun. Just remember it's only a few hours out of the rest of your lives.

Watching with interest moonspinning as I've been sorting through junk tonight for out move in 5 weeks. Can I ask about your car seats - we have 3 to go but I didn't know I could get them on the plane - I thought they'd have to go with the container. Who are you flying with?

Hullo, good luck with the sorting, my top-tip is don't leave the outdoor pots til last, I spent a freezing day outside today scrubbing and drying our pots! We are flying with AirNZ. I' ve no proper internet access (phoneline disconnected, using iPhone) or I'd link you to the webpage, but if you google AirNZ and baggage they have a very detailed explaination of what's allowed, and carseats/prams go free.

Hmmm if carseats go free I might take ours with us rather than shipping it.
