What type of visa for the kids?
We're applying under the accredited employer scheme as hubby's been offered perm job in Auckland. We have 4 boys -5,3,20 months and 9 weeks. I can't seem to get a straight answer from Nz London ( premium rate line), hubby's work and immigration Nz website email response department as to which sort of visa I should apply for the kids under.
I've been told student for all, student for eldest 2 and visitor for youngest 2 and visitor for eldest with youngest 3 as dependants on hubby's visa. Totally confused - eldest will need school as will 3 year old in a year or so ( plus hoping for the 20 hours funded preschool place). Anyone got any thoughts?

I have children also, one 10 and one 6. We are applying for PR as a family on the back of my husbands work visa. have not requested any other visa's as really hoping the PR comes through before the new school term in February, if not if we wish the children to start school in February then we will have to apply for the student visa's then.

Children dont start school in NZ until they reach their fifth birthday, so any child five or over need a student visa, all other children under 5 get a long term visitor visa.
