Let's hear from nan...

Re: People really are amazing

Thanks for posting and the introduction!

Can really understand why their video has gone viral. I agree, what they have done with one instrument is fabulous. I love Newton Faulkner - but don't...

Re: Online secret soap...

Yeah, he did. Some of his posts were even more obscure than this one! Wonder where he has disappeared to? Perhaps on a wildly exciting National Geographic assignment?

Anyway, thanks to everyone...

Re: Back home 3 months - my story and update (a really long one!)

Hi BB,

Read your post with much interest: we moved to Caloundra in 2002 and returned back to the UK later that year. I can identify with much of what you say about the Sunshine Coast, and...

Re: A question for all you people that are now living in Canada!!

Just wanted to send you a cyber-hug.
Your situation sounds dreadful and I hope that life stops throwing curve balls at you. BTW, I attend Hyde Clarendon college and know Hyde pretty well -...

Re: So what do you all drive?????

Not so dull when you think of taxi-ing on the runway, ready to take off - complete with 350+ passengers, crew, fuel and accompanying luggage.

Give me dull and inert anytime, reminds me of a few...

Re: Snow...... & lots of it!

Wow!

Amazing. Thanx for posting; they're great. I feel a complete wuss when I think back to Monday last - and couldn't get to work because my car couldn't make it up a mild incline!

My kids...

Re: How long will you live...

77 years would do me, I think. At almost 39, I have a way to go yet.
What is your secret to a long and happy life Steve?

Apart from snow tires of course.....

Re: So what do you all drive?????

I take your point(s). Of course, I cannot comment on Calgary but in my experience (been driving 20 yrs), men are generally more aggressive with their driving period/full-stop. However, the more...

How chivalrous of you all. I had it all wrong then as I took the silence as mute agreement.

Re: So what do you all drive?????

I believe so! Getting myself quite an education here. Here's little old me thinking all this man-stuff was really quite dull. Shame on me. :o

Re: So what do you all drive?????

Oh and btw, I drive a Vauxhall Corsa 1.7 Diesel I.

No idea about the tires; I can just about remember to check the pressure. I do know, not good in snow though.

Hey, that rhymes!

Re: So what do you all drive?????

Is that so? Never mind - what about personal experience then?

Women (in general) take fewer risks, and that of course includes driving. We might have crap spatial awareness, struggle with maps...

Re: Anyone got a scary weather story and feared for their life...?

Unless you are checking how gullible we all are. So come on, elaborate...

Re: It's snowing in England and the whole country has stopped!!

This always confuses me. Is this a little bit like dry heat in reverse? In Perth they have a dry heat as oppose to the humidity of North Queensland. The humidity is extremely uncomfortable high...

Anyone got a scary weather story and feared for their life...?

Apologies if this has been covered before, but I am just curious.

As the weather is such a 'hot topic' in Blighty this evening, I'd like to ask if anyone has nearly come a cropper due to adverse...

Re: It's snowing in England and the whole country has stopped!!

Too right - It's been really exciting! Manchester actually looks really pretty, and with a little imagination I could imagine I was in Narnia. ;)

The kids are having a field day and everyone you...

Re: It's snowing in England and the whole country has stopped!!
