So what do you all drive?????

When I came here on a reccie - I was absolutely gobsmacked by the size of the trucks, couldn't figure how anyone found any of these cars attractive, and the old muscle / redneck methods of transport - well - left a lot to be desired. Then you get used to your nre home and all of a sudden the transport makes sense.
So carrying on from Caz's thread about what car should she get - i wanna see what we all drive now and what did we used to drive in the UK
(and i want a chance to show off the beast hahahahaha)
It may seem big and brash but shes a Chev 3/4 Duramax and perfect for living out here in the middle of nowhere.
In the UK I had a Volvo 480 (don't laugh I loved that car!) and the common denominator between both???
Heated leather seats and kick ass stereos!!!!!!!

I've got a 12 year old GMC Sierra half ton truck. I don't really live in the middle of nowhere, but I like the high driving position, and the way that people keep out of my way
In the UK I didn't drive (too scary). My husband has a Golf GTI, still with New York plates.

I drive a Ford Escape SUV - after catagorically stating that I would never ever have a SUV. Why did I buy it as Nooka says I like the "high" driving position.
In the Uk I migrated from my lovely Renault Clio Sport - Chloe Clio - to a lovely Renault Megane TDI ( Meggie Moo) due to the amount of mileage I covered as an NVQ assessor.
God I miss Meggie Moo
Gaynor
Now sloping away crying for her lost baby

mmm I agree about the high driving position - easy to spot the deer - and you feel more in perspective on these big wide long open roads in a bigger vehicle
(goddam you I will justify my carbon footprint)
And Gay............... Meggie Moo........................

In the UK I had a Toyota Yaris T Sport which I loved. At the minute we have a Honda Civic, but I'm waiting to take delivery of a brand spanking new Nissan Rogue (similar to the Qashqai in the UK). I need something big to haul all the equipment around with me that is nescessary for my job
(well, the Rogue IS big after driving a Yaris

UK - a Volvo 940SE which I adored in spite of her advancing years. Heated seats, great visibility, kiddie seat option in the boot so I could carry 7 and it would turn on a sixpence.
Canada - GM Acadia. Love the high driving position, still carries 7 and has lots of space, just hate those dinky wing mirrors.

When i get to Canada ( when oh when ) i am going to buy the biggest damm vehicle that will move in the snow, as you can see mine has been stuck like this for over 7 days as we have a steep drive to get up,
OH has just managed to dig it out bless him, air was a bit blue at times

Well i can't wait to get out there and buy the car of my dreams. In London i drive an 8 year old VW Golf purely because it's something i can confidently use with no worries of damage.
When we move to Vancouver i have my eye on a my favourite style of Porsche 911 - late 1980's early 1990's.
More importantly for me is the question - What boat do you all drive? False creek moorings here we come!!!!

First two years was a Mazda CX-7, now transitioning to a Sante Fe Limited. In the Uk my last car was a Mini Cooper S and a Golf GTI.

I live out in farm country in a hilly area known as the snowbelt. We have horses and chickens and a dog and cats and a child some of the time. I drive a pastel New Beetle convertible. I used to have a Mustang convertible but, when we moved from the city, I felt I should get something better suited to driving in severe conditions and so switched to a front wheel drive car.
Oh, and in answer to the boat question, J24, Northern 25, Hunter 28 (at least I think that's what it's called, I'm just crew).

Over here we plumped for Toyota FJ Cruiser - may look like a lego brick, but I love it!
Back in Scotland, OH had the Land Rover Defender - hubby still gutted he couldn't take it, best car he ever had (even though it was a Postman Pat mobile). I had a fifth hand escort estate because I did so many miles commuting and we had two dogs.
