I've just had a shipping company round for a quote and they told me that Canada won't accept shipped goods unless it has been packed by the removers themselves and put in their branded boxes.

Just read the wiki (I should have done that in the first place :rolleyes:) apparently there is a 6 month window to apply for a a free PR card, after that it will be $50.

I think the extremes of views on this thread alone tell me that the decision is purely a personal one. I rather hoped there would be some cookie-cutter solution, a bit like the immigration process...
