My OH booked a suprise trip to New Zealand. Baby sitting sorted etc, all I had was 24 hours notice to pack :eek: was perfect. what a beautiful place....plan to go back with the children next time....

Sorry, probably didn't come across well. I didn't think that you could watch motd via foxtel it was whether to subscribe to foxtel for the sport. Someone else mentioned the sport highlight programme...

Sorry if I confused you even more!

You can ask the person with the webcam to contact you on msn via a conversation only (as you only have a microphone) the other person can then invite you to view...

Are you talking about a speaker or a microphone. For them to hear you but not see you with a webcam you will need a micophone. If they use their webcam you will be able to see and hear them but...

Oh, ok understand a little better now regarding medicare.

Thanks JAJ for replying. As I understand it they are entitled to medicare but for hospital etc they would be covered under the recipricol agreement between Australia and the UK?

the non contributory aged parent visa? Have read a lot of the threads but can't seem to find anyone that has chosen this option? I see from others input that it is a risky option but just wandered...

We bought bikes, camping equipment the lot. All came through no trouble. Just make sure as others have said that everything is scrubbed and cleaned. These are the items that are checked by customs...

Agree with three legs. Have just returned from a 4 day surprise birthday trip to New Zealand, Christchurch on South Island. Sooooo much to do. Lots of adventure things to do. Had the best time...

My advice would be to bring everything - apart from the rubbish things you would get rid of anyway. I would bring even the little things that you think you would not make use of as it all adds up. ...

You are right. However with my situation at least it may let us have one summer on our own.

Could tell them the house is on the market to sell and who knows when it will sell.;)

Just had a thought - perhaps tell them you are thinking of returning to the uk anytime soon so best not to book flights as you wouldn't want them to waste money!!!

Totally with all of you on this one. My parents here for 3 months coming to the end now thank goodness. Only to receive a call from mil to say she will be out in november for 3 months! Not too bad...
