Where would you go if you had 3 or 4 days?

Where would you go if you had 3 or 4 days?
Hi,
We have a friend coming over to stay in October....he will be with us in Sydney for a week and we plan to do the Blue Mountains, Bridge Climb etc.
I am trying to think of mini trip he could do during the second week...he is travelling alone, early 20's and enjoys kayaking, adventure stuff....any ideas???? He would not be against flying somewhere.
We have only been here 4 months, so would welcome some help with suggestions.

Probably Cairns as it is a centre for doing lots of wildlife/nature expeditions and as the above poster said the Great Barrier Reef. I would suggest a week in Cairns (not that Cairns is all that fantastic) but there are lots of opportunities using Cairns as a base.

If money isn't an issue then I'd suggest South Island New Zealand ...
Loads to do adventure wise & stunning landscape.

Sydney Wildlife World in Darling Harbour is a good place to see a good selection of Australian wildlife in remarkably natural surroundings. It's a great place for visitors who do not have much time.

Cairns is a great place!However, would suggest he maybe stay Port Douglas as good access to the reef & Daintree

Agree with three legs. Have just returned from a 4 day surprise birthday trip to New Zealand, Christchurch on South Island. Sooooo much to do. Lots of adventure things to do. Had the best time ever.
