Re: Please Help - I Feel Like Giving Up

I'd do a good guestimate for the smaller items/clothes etc. If you are bringing large valuable items give replacement costs (in Oz).

I insured a newish 4x4 on return to UK from NZ. Got crushed at...

Re: moving money from uk to nz

I'd recommend Tranzfers too. I used them and HIFX. Tranzfers is really simple but HIFX offered poor advice and very pernickity about how the money was transferred. Tranzfers rate better too - you get...

Re: Another Car Thread!!!

I'd sell it and buy a second hand in NZ. There are a great number of rings to jump through to get the car there. And probably £2000 or more to transport.

I exported my newish 4x4 back to the UK...

Re: NZ > UK Removals

Used a local firm in Hawkes Bay but Conroys was a reasonable quote. Managed everything in a 20 foot though got some quotes for 40 footers. e.g. paid $10K but quoted $20K (Allied).

Don't scrimp on...

Re: Kiwi group personality traits for wellington hutt region

I worked in an A&E Dept in Hawkes Bay and found it to be a humourless experience. Staff were pleasant but not the laugh I was used to in the UK.

Roster was unbelievably bad. Number of nights and...

Re: The Kiwi paranoid and over the top dog obsession

New Zealand appeared fairly varied regarding allowing dogs to walk. One of the reasons we decided against Wellington was the poor facilities. Hawkes Bay was pretty good, we had many options.

Kiwis...

Guildford is about an hour from an...
