Rentals that allow dogs

Hi

I appreciate this topic has come up before (and I have PMed a couple of people) but I was wondering whether there were any new members since then.

I'm moving over next month and hope to...

Re: mild winter??????????

Re: mild winter??????????

I can only speak from my experience in Auckland but Kiwi winters are definitely milder in degrees than the UK but it can feel different to you because of the damp in the air and the sheds that pass...

Re: Anyone flown with EMIRATES

I can only base this on a 3 and a half hour flight but I found Emirates to be really good. Nothing I could put my finger on but lots of small, nice touches that added up to a great experience.

Selling other than Trade Me

Hi

Anyone know of any other way to sell items other than Trade Me?

I'm moving on and have a couple of big ticket items that are nearly new. Trade Me only seems to work for smaller purchases...

Re: Moving from the UK to NZ after being discharged from Bankruptcy.

I can concur on this one. I had a good credit rating in the UK and asked if this could be used to get me a credit card with a limit above the $4,000 they gave me (on a salary of $120k!) over here...

Re: Vegetarianism

Regardless of the rennet cheese here is pretty dire compared to the quality and variety available back home (unless you're willing to pay the price) so you won't be missing much (says an absolute...

Re: Is Australia tempting you?

Having been here a year myself I think the major difference is that of a can-do society in Oz and a make-do society in NZ.

Personally (and it is a personal feelingwhich doesn't have to be...

Re: North Vs The South....moved to main forum

My personal preference would be the north part of the South Island. Nelson and Blenheim have a distinct charm that is lacking elsewhere in NZ.

Unfortunately in my line of work it would be...

Re: Who likes this 'dump'..NZ that is?

Before people get the wrong idea - Dump in big block capitals in the previous posts was NOT INTENTIONAL. It seems to have been caused by me editing out some of the previous quote.

Re: Who likes this 'dump'..NZ that is?

Those are my sentiments too. Life can seem a little monochrome here.

I'm enjoying the experience of living here and seeing such a beautiful place but it's not long term for me I'm afraid. The...

Re: What food do you most miss from UK?

Paua fritters with gourmet apricot jam.

Add parsley to a mince and potato pie and it's suddenly gourmet.

I've traipsed through a number of wooden and breeze-block style homes in the pursuit of...

Re: What food do you most miss from UK?
