Back 3.5 months after 10 years in Canada

Well we have been back 3.5 months now after spending 10 years in the GTA (in a very family orientated area).

The only thing I really miss is my friends, salads and wildberry coolers...

Yes when we sold we were told to tell them a Canadian forwarding address otherwise they would withhold 25% as mentioned above and to sell before we left, not after.

We have moved back and are not putting kids in school, my aunt who worked as a school admin said it would take three weeks to process anyway. My kids did the full year in Canada anyway.

We plan on giving Halo a go, just deciding whether to fix rate now or in 8 weeks is our challenge, do have proceeds of house sale, so a few points difference does make quite a difference!

Mike how do you go about bringing them up to speed, I have printed off the curriculum from here, do I just compare to a print off over there, was planning on having them do some English workbooks etc...

Ultimately for us we are moving back after ten years, it comes down to really not enjoying the LONG LONG LONG and COLD COLD COLD winter, it really is an event and not being part of an extended...
