Re: No PR Card - What Happens When eTa Begins

I tried to board a Toronto bound flight from Paris without a PR card in December and they refused to let me board the plane. Had to reroute via New York and drive across the border.

Re: Have I messed it up?

Hi Volovolo,

Your timeline is right since you've applied through Pretoria. Your meds are probably on their way to you. I find that Pretoria doesn't respond to emails if they have sent off...

Re: BC PNP QUERY

No, that's pretty much it. I would contact BC PNP and ask them if they have a dedicated list.

Re: BC PNP QUERY

Unfortunately with a low skilled job you won't be able to apply for Federal Skilled Worker PR or Canadian Experience class. If you can get a job as a Front Desk Agent then after you've worked for...

Just wanted to let everyone in BC with kids in Grades 11 and 12 know that you are eligible to apply for a work permit for them.

I have just done so for my Grade 12 daughter and we received the...

Re: Interview at CHC London-HELP PLEASE!!

I take it to mean that they can't seem to find the equivalent of the offence in Canada so instead of just deeming him inadmissable they are interviewing him to give him a chance to support his case....

Re: Question re sponsoring teenagers after we land in Canada

It won't take very long to sponsor. It's the same amount of time as a spousal sponsorship.

Re: PNP - Can anyone explain in simple terms

Why don't you wait until you get to Canada and then apply for PNP. Which province are you headed to? Some provinces have a low skilled stream your husband would be eligible to apply for.

Re: DEPENDANT CHILDREN

It doesn't matter if he has been living on his own or not. The fact that he is unmarried and 21 years old makes him a dependent child and thus he can be listed on your husband's TWP and PR...

Re: ANOTHER WORK PERMIT DENIAL SCENARIO

No, I am in Canada. I left the UK 6 years ago and went back to South Africa. I am so sorry that I didn't apply for a British passport before I left.

Anyhow, yes, I applied for PNP straight away.

Re: BC PNP AOR

I think I waited about 6 weeks for AOR. PNP processing took 3 months. I think they have a backlog now, people are waiting about 4 months for decisions.
