I have a hard time ordering a water as well. I have to slow it right down and hope by the time I've said 'a bottle of' they already know what's going to follow. 'Warerrr'

'Barry' They sound like they're saying Berry. Then I ask them to say Harry and it actually sounds like it should sound. Strange!

I applied for citizenship about 1 month ago now. I still haven't received an email saying they received my application or that it's being processed. Is this normal?

All sorted now guys. I deposited it in to my BMO account with no charge. :D She just asked me if it was a Christmas present when it had in big letters, "HM Revenue & Customs" on the front.

Thanks for all the replies. I asked someone in the UK to deposit it for me, but they told me they enquired at a bank and it has to be me that does it. I'll go in to BMO later and deposit it. I didn't...

It took just over 4 months from when we submitted our application. The trip down to the border was easy enough, took us just over 5hrs to get to Carway...

What job do you do that would enable you to apply for a skilled worker visa? I'm guessing you work on the rigs but could be wrong? If your under 30 you could apply for a 1 year BUNAC...
