I am not sure how long the process takes currently, I went through this almost 8 years ago when we moved here. But yes, all the legal paperwork had to be in place and the immigration officers checked...

3 years have passed...

...since the traumatic goodbyes to family at Heathrow!

I am pleased to say that we are settled, happy etc. etc.

Has it all been plain sailing? Not by a long shot!

Do we have regrets? None.

My son is in his first year at Trent Uni, ON doing History ~ fees are $6300 per year.

2 years today...

Our 2nd Canniversary is here!

Still very happy here, almost finished my M.Ed, going on to Ph.D. in September. Oldest son starts uni (or school as they call it here) in September. Hubby is settled...

As for our eldest, he took the longest to settle but now he has friends, a PT job in a local supermarket...
