Definitely. Same happened to friends of mine - he works offshore so hasn't clocked up required amount of time for citizenship, but wife and son are both now citizens.

Also, you are not a citizen until you have had the ceremony. Passing the test and filling in the paperwork is not enough, so you will definitely have to go to the ceremony.

I work in construction, so do 8 to 5, office based. Most sites start at 7, but don't tend to work too late because it gets dark early. In the Summer, its light by 4:30, so there's not much point...
