Question Best linen and real feather pillows in Brisbane area?

Anyone know where's the best place to find these while we wait for our container?

Ikea is all synthetic and cheap quality.

A good quality linen and bedding shop would be worth visiting.

Thanks in advance.

I am not sure of the quality, but you could also try Pillow Talk. They have linen and pillows etc.

Cheers Rudi.

There's one in Jindalee and another in Toowong. We're close to both and they do sell feather/down pillows.

Will visit one tomorrow.

Thanks again.

try http://purezone.com.au/ . I go to the one at Harbour Town on the Gold Coast. There is also a David Jones outlet there that has good sheets and towels.

+1 for Sheridan. Stocked at Sheridan outlets, Myers and DJ's amongst others.

Best quality you can get in Oz. Am particular about sheets as it is a place I spend 1/3 of my life.

Sales usually mean 1/3 off the RRP to 50% and well worth it since they are not cheap, but last a long time.

Another chain, Adairs, also carries a great range of high quality linen (400-1000 thread count) by 'Mercer + Reid' and Sheridan, etc. Last I checked, they had goose down pillows and you'll be looking at $200+ each.

I don't know how fussy you are with linen when you say "best". I've seen European brand linen at David Jones. However I've never seen the likes of Frette or Descamps anywhere in Brisbane. Sydney, yes. Melbourne, probably.

As always, eBay is also a good place to check if there are particular brands or threadcount you're after.

Instead of feather and down, 100% wool quilts are available here at quite a number of stores. They are the Oz equivalent and in my opinion far superior.

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone. We have a plan to go out today. We're going to start with Pillow Talk as they are close by.

We just want stuff that's fairly good and comfortable and will last quite well.

We aren't quite royalty...

...yet.

There is a Harris Scarfe store at Chermside which always has great discounts on sheets etc. Harris Scarfe is an Adelaide based company and the Chermside store is their only one in Qld.
