Hi there

As far as I know ( and I am not an expert!) your nursing quals will transfer. As for your management ones I do know that here in WA there is a major shortage of senior/ management...

yes we do have the GPs come in to deliver the babies... dont think it is all the time though..couldnt say for sure...they are definatley getting bigger / busier i think everyone in Rockingham is...

at my old hospital in the UK maternity had its own theatres and the midwives scrubbed. Hadnt dont a c-section till i got here (am sooo over them now)

we have lot of different midwives and nurses...

thats what we did..then someone suggested a little trolley in theatre and it worked really well...but some didnt like it and many did, so it had to go!

also i dont think they get a bursary here ... we have student nurses all the time and i think one actually said they have to pay for their placements !!!!!

they have to have a 'HEX' (i think) loan...

we are in 'Old Waikiki' if you like... the 'new' waikiki i believe is Harrington Waters..its ok..

you will find where you like when you get here..dont buy straight away and only take a 6 month...

we came with $40,000 AUS 2 yrs ago...no furnishings, just a couple of boxes of 'stuff'...i had a job, hubby didn't...2 pre teens.....

couldnt afford a house...so we rented....no worries... hubby...
