Re: Service Ontario change of address online?

I've had this issue when there has been an issue with them having a wrong address for one of my documents. I didn't realize that updating my driving license when I moved wasn't enough for them.

Re: How to make the payment for class 2 NI contributions

It depends on how long your surname is.

The reference shouldn't be more than 18 characters.

Mine was NI number plus IC plus first 6 letters of surname.

They will give it to you when you call...

Re: Pay Class 2 NI

No you can't.

Glad it is done!

Re: Pay Class 2 NI

Call them to get your questions answered.

I recently heard as well and owe 14 years of Class 2. I'll call them and pay over the phone using visa so I know they have it for me and I can log the...

Re: UK Inheritance

Doing well!

Moved to Parkdale (West) last March and it is easily the best part of Toronto to live.

Have launched a side business that is starting to get legs.

Haven't been to Hooters so...

Re: Brit debating taking job offer in Canada!

What is your standard of living now? Where do you live?

$150k+ is very good money for Toronto but it is a very expensive city.

With regards to weather there is approximately 5 good months per...

Re: Severance calculation UK-Canada

What does the last contract you signed say?

On the one hand you have not been employed in BC long but on the other your employer likely has a duty of care if they moved you across.

You really...

What flight were you on?

I would have looked for you at the London Pride bar in Heathrow!

Re: Has the Ontario economy died?

My guesstimate was USD. But they claim to have also factored in cost of living in there so I don't know if that means they knocked it off or re-weighted the amounts. I'm sure you still require an...

Re: Proof that I am too old or incompetent to exist in the modern world

Resale marketplace such as StubHub or even The Facebook.

Just put them up a few quid cheaper if it is not a high demand show.

If it is a high demand show then you can make money and you are...

Re: Has the Ontario economy died?

It's completely my fault.

I was swimming at Parkdale school across the road. I'd hang my clothes up. Leave an open bag below and take my valuables through to the swimming area. No one has any...

Re: Has the Ontario economy died?

Parallel is in between two breweries. There is an ambience to them. Up itself fits somewhat but less irritating than Liberty Village for example. You might actually have a conversation there with...

Re: a recent Pearson experience

The one positive I had thanks to Nexus was when we landed I didn't have to fill in anything.

I just walked up to an electronic gate and tapped. It printed off a piece of paper and that was that....

Re: Has the Ontario economy died?

I'm on the brink of side hustling myself. Although the plan is to make the side hustle permanent in 12 months or I think I'll adios the place. The decline is not going to reverse.

I also relate to...

Re: a recent Pearson experience

Pearson is a shambles.

I flew out last Wednesday to Blighty and their whole luggage system broke down. I had to wait for my luggage to follow me out the next day.

Returned to Pearson today and...

Re: Has the Ontario economy died?

Yes. We're in a white collar recession.

The death is masked by job growth in entry level or service jobs which can't attract people through low hourly wages.

Should one have fled? Most people...

Re: Can anyone here in marketing comment on the job market?

The job market at the moment is particularly tight and brutal.

Lots of lay off's since last September and very little hiring through 2023.

They talk about record job numbers but those are at...

I love it. The line to see US customs is massive.

You just shoot on the side. Tape your card. Quick retina scan and then the machine says "Welcome to the United States".

At least a whole beer...

Re: Shocking Deprivation and Homelessness in Canada
