I live a few minutes walk from the University of Glasgow and, while we were just wandering around this weekend, I saw this memorial stone - I had no idea about the connection with McGill.

I knew McGill was a Scotsman (there's a bit of a clue in the name...) but hadn't appreciated he was an alumnus of Glasgow. That's a cool find. My better half is a McGill grad; there's an outside chance we may be in Glasgow later this year for the Commonwealth Games (not, I hasten to add, as competitors!) so will seek it out if we get an opportunity
