How long did it take for you to get a work permit? Was it fairly easy to obtain? From the time you applied for PR how long did that take?

My daughter 15 meets up with her friends on a Saturday and either goes to the movies or shopping. Friday Night & Sunday she works. In the school hols it's the same although she works most of them.

Can't help with schools but the schools will all be on holiday until February.
They finish about 20th Dec (Primary/Intermediate) and return approx 7th Feb.

Where on the gold coast are you staying? I wanted to go at Xmas using airpoints as my brother lives there but flying Qantas they said you had to book at least 6-12mths in advance. I'll have to plan...

It's not all bad in Sth Auckland but I still wouldn't put my kids to school there.

ANy of these HIgh Schools Howick,Botany Downs, Sancta Maria,Pakuranga College,Macleans,St Kents are good schools. My Daughter goes to Howick College.

House prices vary in these...
