UK Economy weak but no need to panic as that A$ is going to get hammered early to mid 2009.

Its a weird system isn't it?!

I suspect you're not in the FAO 'system' if your accountant claims the FTB via the ATO.

We did the same for the first 2 years but were losing out on Rent...

Not in my particular case - I have always had interest only mortgages to maximise gearing but point taken.

Historically Stg is very low against the Euro.

I imported a VW from Holland to the UK in 2000 and I think the bank gave me 1.65+

Maybe be worth selling Euros for Pounds but who knows?

Joyfully not our experience at all - the exact opposite in fact!

In the last 3 years of claims their payments have been exactly correct and paid within a few days of filing our returns.
