We did the test at end of April, and ceremony was 2 days ago. So just over 3 months between test and ceremony.

That was test in Brisbane and ceremony on Gold Coast.

I agree - managed 12 months in Sydney but no one would pay the rates. Moved to Brissie and doing better here. BUT there was still a lot more spare cash at the end of the month when I worked in the UK!

Do you mean Police certificates? - Our letters stated: you have been out of Australia for 400 and something days from time of grant and we MUST supply a UK police certificate

Brisbane cant be that swamped - we posted ours on 27th March, got an email on 30th March with the test date of 24th April.

Test is now done and passed :D

That article is related to digging holes not IT. Maybe the "Australian and Indian officials" have agreed that Indians would be better at digging than at IT?
