I preferred mine not being on Australia Day as it meant what should be a 5 minute thing which is padded out to last an hour or two (or more) was in the evening of a normal weekday, and I could enjoy the whole of the Australia Day public holiday a couple of months later.

The end result is the same, no matter what day the ceremony happens.

Applied on 26 October, still havent heard anything so I am guessing I wont be making the Australia Day ceremony

When you sit the test do you get told straight away if you pass?
Also how long after is the ceremony held?

Found out on Friday that, in my council atleast, you have to book for an Australia Day ceremony. So there goes that.
