Re: lost n.i.e. number

Our solicitor says that she will open a bank account for us and get our NIEs - all part of the service for which we pay 1%.

Re: Ayamonte - Costa Esuri - Part III

We looked at the Mirador when we went in Feb but were frightened off by the political situation there. You must have bought phase 1 - our agent told us they have already put the completion back by 6...

Re: Ayamonte - Costa Esuri - Part III

I don't know, but it sounds to me like everyone is waiting for the council to get its thumb out, not Fadesa.

I know that the Tasa development on the Costa Esuri site and also the Mirador...

Re: Ayamonte - Isla Canela

What type of flamenco do you want to learn? There are all sorts. If you want to dance at the Ferias then you will need to learn SEVILLANAS. Make sure you learn the right one!

Re: Ayamonte - Costa Esuri - Part III

Our Rago apartment isn't due to be ready until 2007, so we are not yet affected by the LFO. However, there is something that I am not clear on and perhaps someone would be kind enough to explain it...

Re: lost n.i.e. number

Or just get your solicitor to do it all for you. It should be part of their service.

Re: legal requirements for rentals?

No need to evict your tenants before the 12 months are up. Just do the contract for 11 months and then renew it every 11 months.

Re: Bulgaria - Bansko

Lighten up, Ray! The reason we are "toying" with the idea is because we are at the information gathering stage, not the decision making stage.

Info about the quality/quantity of the ski runs,...

Re: Costa Esuri Duplex problem

Sorry if this is an inappropriate question for this forum....but is it possible to name names? I am curious to know who the estate agent is that buys up blocks of apartments at Fadesa and then...

Re: Costa Esuri Duplex problem

We didn't buy a duplex so aren't directly involved in this situation, but wanted to respond to this comment having worked in the industry myself, albeit in the UK, but I imagine things can't be all...

Bulgaria - Bansko

We've been toying with the idea of buying a 2 bed apt in Bansko as it seems so cheap and we love to ski.

But we haven't had an opportunity to visit yet. Has anyone else been there/bought a...

Re: Don´t buy property in Spain or you will lose a lot of money

But I do doubt this very much. National reports talk about stagnant Spanish markets in Madrid, Barcelona, etc and also in the mature tourist markets such as del Sol, Blanca, etc. If you don't want...

Re: Don´t buy property in Spain or you will lose a lot of money

Prices in the Costa de la Luz are still going up quite rapidly. But the market is totally different to the mature markets like Costa del Sol or Blanca. It only started developing about 5 years ago.

Re: Paying tax on rental income

The way I read it - if your property is valued at 200,000 you are liable for tax on 2% of that value, ie 4000 euros. Income tax is 25%(?). 25% of 4000 is 1000 euros per year. Much easier to...

Re: Ayamonte - Costa Esuri - Part III

We were wondering if anyone knows of any other really good CE forums. Not that there's anything wrong with this one - but we wondered if there was one dedicated to CE, along the lines of the one for...

Re: Ayamonte - Costa Esuri - Part III

I´ve read in other places too that you shouldn't use a solicitor recommended by the developer or the agent. But on a practical level, exactly who would that solicitor be? I was recommended MP...

Thanks to John and Kath for the articles. V. useful.

Re: Ayamonte - Costa Esuri - Part III

Carol - You have obviously bought an apartment very near to us. We have bought in block 1 of Rago 1. No need to worry about the air conditioning units. This problem only relates to the Pueblo...

Re: Ayamonte - Costa Esuri - Part III

Carol,

Re the mortgage, I think you would only run into real problems if you actually wanted the 25 year mortgage and were already 50+. As this is not your case and you want significantly less...

Re: The Spanish housing bubble is about to burst

I would definitely worry about buying into a really mature/overdone market such as the Costa del Sol at the moment. But what about the up and coming areas that don't have such exaggerated prices? I...
