Hi There....Applied for 887 visa in september 2008..online.....got case officer in late february 2009 and was granted PR visa april 3rd 2009...about 6 months....was asked for medicals again but...

I am teaching in Victoria..Here you need to register with the VIT and apply to schools directly yourself...either primary or secondary...lots of jobs are only contract for one year unless you are...

Got a quote from a big4 park for a 1 bedroom cabin for 150$ a week...
The longer you stay the cheaper it gets...hope that helps..
I will be staying at a caravan park in Geelong upon arrival......

Soponsorship is good for 1 year from date of being granted....
Good Luck and dont forget to get registered by VIT well in advance of going!

To my knowledge there is demand for teachers so long as you are willing to co operate with the individual staes need to send you out to do country service in remote schools..

So what exactly is the problem with Norlane and Corio?
I am now considering the suburbs of Highton or Belmont as better though more expensive alternatives...just wondering whats so bad about those...

plan on living in norlane or corio...can anyone actually say anything about those two suburbs..? they are cheap..ok to bring...
