Just got back from Malta last month, spent a week out there doing some background work before we move.

I was told a nice relatively place to live is Marsascala just south east of Valleta.

St Julian's is a nice place (I stayed there last week) and has easy access to every where on the island. Can recommend the Irish and Scottish bars :)

Hi Gessika,

Many thanks for the info, I read that there was a fuel increase today 6c of petrol and 3c on diesel. Like you say everything is quite close so it may be I use the bus and the car now...

That's a lot cheaper than the UK but then I would not expect to do a lot of driving in Malta :o)

I think that Mellieha is choice No1 at the moment.

Thanks Sue, Plans are going well and hope to leave the UK around June/July. Also planning a small trip to Malta aroung May to do a recce etc.

That's the way I hope to go, on the talent visa. Still building up a nice portfolio at the moment, trying to find the pitfalls etc so hopefully we don't encounter any and avoid them.
