Def recommend medi-express. They sorted the whole thing for us when we had our first baby three months ago. Just check the spelling on the english-language birth certificate, they messed this bit up...

I'm sure there will be no-one who finds themselves in the same boat (but just in case - the end of the saga.....) an "out pass" is required (my PRO was absolutely spot-on) and is valid for 6 days...

Paramount are pretty cheap. You don't need to go to the traffic department for a UAE licence any more, my sister-in-law got hers last week from a booth/office in Deira City Centre Shopping...
