Hi

My son (who is 20 and a PR visa holder) returned to the UK to visit family in April 2009. A week after he returned he was the victim of a serious assault and he had a bleed on his brain.

According to what we were told, that could well be the case though, as the quarantine stations would all be closed. I have to agree that it is a scary thought though! :eek:

When are you thinking of returning to the UK? The reason I ask is that our 2 dogs have just been released from quarantine here (in UK) and the guy that owns the International Quarantine...

Thanks for your concern, the defra vet in the UK has confirmed to us that unfortunately these things can occasionaly happen, as heart defects can sometimes lie undetected.

Hi all

I have just had a telephone call from the vet in London. She has done the PM, and sadly Alfie had a defect in his heart which has never been detected before and this has caused him to die...
