How to compare school districts?

How do you find out what the best school district is in New Jersey? Is there a national database on the web?

I have done a goggle search and all the sites allow you to compare individual schools....

Well, last I recall they wanted a 'full' birth certificate with hospital name and it says that if you don't provide this, they could send the application back. So I decided not to apply for now...

I have considered temping but they are all fulltime (40 hours) in my field plus involve more commuting (NJ traffic is horrible). Right now I have a 20 minute commute and I like everything...
