Yes I did mention that I cleared in front of my neighbour's homes - but I think your response has answered my question about the way of the world today.

I live on a typical...

Re: How does this country survive?

You have to read through the replies, it's the most entertaining thread we've had in a long time. And I've learned a lot about doggie behaviour too!

Re: How does this country survive?

So you finally went over 20 kph? Most cars are set to lock once you get above that speed. Slow poke!

Another post that had me laughing my head off. This has turned into a great thread - thanks Vick! I stayed home from work today after pulling my back falling on ice yesterday (Vancouver in...

Re: How does this country survive?

OK, changing the topic just for a mo - how the heck do you manage to get and keep points? Been saving for years, me, and whenever I get enough to start thinking about using them - they expire! I go...

Re: How does this country survive?

I don't agree with much of what you wrote, but you gave me such a laugh - thanks! You have quite a talent in writing, maybe you're in the wrong job.

Well alright, I do agree with the Rogers bit...

Re: Living in Ontario ! Don't bother ... wish I hadn't

I do? Where? And can you substantiate your claim that I am a bigot? You don't even know me or anything about me.

Re: Living in Ontario ! Don't bother ... wish I hadn't

Give it up Linda. This person has a major chip on his/her shoulder, and if anyone dares to disagree with his/her opinion, they are labelled "bigot" (favourite word) "racist" and other numbskull...

Re: Are winter tyres any good???

I have to agree with you! British driver have such a bad rep, but quite honestly there's much more courtesy over there, and give and take. Yes there is road rage, without a doubt, but people...

Re: Figuring out address system

It's a bit easier here in the lower mainland of BC- for instance, 21656 -...

Re: refunds from supermarkets in canuck land ?

I've noticed that trend, especially lately. I often wonder if these people would be so rude if it was face-to-face. It's so pointless, and reminds me of the old saying "if you can't say anything...

Re: Bankers Draft

Same here. I get my drafts from the TD Bank in British pounds, no fee, no hassle. At the other end, the UK bank allows 2 weeks for it to clear (I never understand that, it's a draft, not a personal...

Re: Living in Ontario ! Don't bother ... wish I hadn't

Who exactly are the "vulnerable people"? Do you have proof that these people are vulnerable or did you just hear it fourth hand from someone's uncle?

I guess a lot lies in the perception of...

Re: Living in Ontario ! Don't bother ... wish I hadn't
