We started off in Sydney - that didn't work out so we tried Brisbane.
Now happily settled here.

I'm fascinated by it all. It also amazes me that (from my experience) many poms from way back - never actually went...

Can you apply for the forms and the "new" booklet BEFORE your 2 year mark - in preparation...then send them in after you've been here 2 years - or do you have to wait until you've passed the 2 year...

We drove up from Sydney to Brisbane last year - and stopped roughly half way at Coffs Harbour. Depends how far you want to drive before you stop.

Funny but all the guide books i have - name Daisy Hill but not Lone Pine. Surely someone must have been to Daisy Hill:D

Has anyone been to both of the above koala sanctuary's in Brisbane?

I would like to know how they compare/contrast.

Lone Pine is $52 for a family of 5......Daisy Hill is FREE

For new people to this site - it's hard to know where to start! I would suggest using the "search" facility, where you can type in what you want to know - and read through lots of previous posts....

I agree with moneypen. Take the year in Sydney, rent a nice little place - use the time to travel on the weekends. You can fly to Brisbane in 1 - 1.5 hours .

See all the sights in Sydney..then if...
