Actually the $79,000 relates to those who have passed senior constables exam which you have to be in CPS for at least 8yrs. not counting any UK service.

Tell her she to be prepared to wait 5 yrs for you to be considered for any type of promotion. other specialities may come sooner, but if you havnt done it the Calgary way.....you havnt done it.

They are having 8 recruit classes this year, and hopefully 10 recruit classes next year. They have cut the course length down to 23 weeks. To be honest they could do with cutting a few months off it....
