Hello , nice to know im not the only one from Wales going over .
Trying to sort things out from here but proving a bit tricky, seem to be waiting for emails all the time.
Looks like we will have to sort out a lot when we finally land

Yes, everything seems to be ticking along slowly, then you get the word and along it goes. I did plan on flying with Mal but it seems like I have more things to get done. Never mind it will be all worth it in the end.

Well done - you're almost at the end of this obstacle race.
I'm originally fom Pontarddulais and spent four very happy years in Cardiff (UCC as it then was 1979-84) before moving to London for work. My OH is Canadian and we are aiming to move to Calgary too - but have no fixed date until my PR is sorted. Our next visit will probably be early October so if by then you suddently find you're in desperate need of something from home (smallish) I could probably carry it out for you (better be careful here as I've already promised Garibaldi biscuits to rwin on this site and I'll end up with no clothes and only food parcels from home).

You have made an excellent choice in Calgary. We moved from Newport, South Wales to Okotoks [40kms from Calgary] last December and do not regret a thing. I worked in Cardiff for many years and do not miss the M4 at all.
We see the Rockies every day, ski whenever we can, swim in the river, horse back ride, drive for miles without seeing anybody else - it's almost perfect
Good luck, I'm sure you will not regret it.
