Re: Is anyone going back again?

It's so difficult to comment as this is such a personal thing. We are returning to the UK as we are not Canadians, never will be and don't want to be. Also we will be better off in the UK (we have...

Re: 7 Month Countdown Yippee!!

This rings SO true. I've lost count of the number of times I've made a joke at work only to receive blank expressions which mean "What on earth is this guy talking about?!?!". Even little...

Re: 7 Month Countdown Yippee!!

For me, I had to be away from Britain to realise HOW much I appreciate it and to recognise how British I am, is this true for others? I don't regret emigration at all as at the very least it has...

We used Britannia to move - don't touch them with a barge pole and HIFX to transfer cash - fast and polite service, highly recommended.

Midnapore is very close to 2 LRT stations - Shawnessey and Fishcreek/Lacombe (both with free parking). Train to downtown Calgary takes about 20 mins.

Re: What's Midnapore like?

Not a bad area, one of the older neighbourhoods in the south and is well established with lots of greenery/trees. Loads of shops nearby - you should have access to all you need.

Hope this helps.

Re: How did you get a credit card on emigration?
