I'll post anything I find out, or PM you re: the dog stuff, as you'll be just behind me in the process.
Latest I posted was concern that the Yanks put the date backward (mm/dd/yyyy) on all documentation, and I was worried that would be a problem. Seems it definitely would for the PETs certificate (you get that shortly before you are ready to leave), but not the other (rabies cert, blood test, etc.), but I'm emailing DEFRA just to be sure.

Best bets right now are Glasgow/Stirling/Edinburgh area, Manchester, Sheffield, and S. Wales. Some other possibilities, but all have drawbacks (expensive housing, research interests very different or nonexistent, etc.) I'm waiting on a possible interview at the U. of Glamorgan right now.

Anyway I didn't realise that you were actually moving back - just thought you were talking about it.
Fair play, and good luck to you

...6th March for us! Everyone should try www.orbitz.com we got LAX to LHR on Virgin for $590 for both of us one way! That's half of BA's price! More money left over for proper
he heheAlso our dog's Vet Certificate came back from USDA all signed and stamped. All Vet Cert dates were dd/mm/yyyy and everything else was mm/dd/yyyy....no problems at all. It only took them 3 days from when it arrived to approve it and send it back, plus it only costs $24!

Ah, the good old U. of Glamorgan - or Polytechnic of Wales (PoW) as it was called when I graduated. The memories come flooding back. The campus has changed a lot since my days there from what I've seen on the web site. I think the last time I went back for a visit was around 97 or so.
Good luck with the interview. And say hi to Ponty for me when you get there.

and the environment that I've been happiest with. We'll be back in late April and can't wait. Once the decision is *finally* made, it is an exciting time.
