CAn vouch for Avis. Have used them a couple of times, good deals and good service. No problem if you want to keep the car longer and they will deliver it to you door and pick it back up.

For anyone returning to the Uk just a couple of observations. If you are looking for a house please don't just buy it because it is cheap. There are so many factors as to why the prices are lower....

So much for the price crash! In most areas prices have risen again in the last 3 months after a lull for a few months. Admitedly they have not increased as much as previously, but they are moving...

Beautiful place, but as one of the most sought after areas you will have to pay the premium. Public transport should be OK it is quite adequate all over the UK.
