The current cost to get your Class 1 in Saskatchewan is $10,000-12,000 and the training is compulsory, unlike in 2013 when we came here.

We sold everything and bought new, arrived here with 4 suitcases and a laptop in 2013. Took a while but I think it was the way to go

Not at all, green split peas work just as well. I got the recipe from a British expat living in the states, you really wouldn't know the difference

Dried green split peas available in most stores

1 cup peas to every 3 cups of water

Bring to the boil then simmer for approximately 90 mins

Add salt and pepper to taste
