LANCASTER CHEESE - any good pairings in a sandwich? It's fairly low on my cheese preference scale, but a block has made it's way into the refrigerator.

Niceā¦not as good as Cheshire cheese IMO but Lancashire cheese is pretty good. Like Cheshire cheese it is crumbly and grills well, much better than Cheddar IMO.

I didn't think of grilling it. Will try ! From what I recall I slightly prefer Cheshire to Lancashire too, but neither are in the league of Cheddar, Edam or Gruyere !

Cheese on top of marmalade?
I use Cheddar cheese here, but if I was in the UK it would be Cheshire.

Dried green split peas available in most stores
1 cup peas to every 3 cups of water
Bring to the boil then simmer for approximately 90 mins
Add salt and pepper to taste
Taste great and much cheaper than buying imported cans if you`re on a budget too

If you're talking about mushy peas then you need dried marrowfat peas not just dried peas
