We are flying out to Oz permanently at the end of the month. We have no Australian dollars at the moment, so have no choice but to exchange at least enough to get us set up...

My 6 month update:

We finally got our visas granted 11 days ago :D, and we're booked to fly to Brisbane in just 13 days :eek: .

We are heading to the Redlands area, and will most likely settle...

No. I think SunnyBeach got the actual visa granted early July.

We had our meds done at Chichester.

They were definitely the cheapest in the area for us, and we had no problems with them at all.

I see. I'd definately contact ASPC, as you should have had your medical & police clearance request some time ago.

I'd probably phone if it were me, but an email would be OK (emails do not always...

NOW! ..... or as soon as you can. :)

Changes (including increases in the pass mark) aren't announced in advance, and are usually effective immediately. I know that many people were caught out...

There are plenty of applicants from April, May, June 2004 still waiting for visa grants. However, are you saying that you have not even had a request for medicals and Police clearances?

If you're in no hurry for the visa and content to wait, then another week won't make much difference I suppose.

If it were me though, I'd contact them now. You seem to have waited a bit too long,...

I was an early April applicant, so similar to you. My bond was requested back in May, and my visa granted last week.

Your application seems particularly slow. If there aren't any complications...

2 days ago I was ready to join this thread, with no idea when or if I would get my visa. Then yesterday it was granted, and I look back and wonder why
I got so stressed.

For our family of four, we'll have 8 large suitcases plus our hand luggage, plus any duty free we pick up en-route. Do you think it'll be OK?

I know there must be lots of new arrivals...

I think we're in the same position as you. We got our visas granted yesterday and got them sent of to London straight away. We're ready to go too (house sold etc).

We will need to show our visas...
