Moving to Geneva

Good morning,

I can't find a Switzerland sub-forum so hoping some folks here can provide some advice. I've been recommended a job at one of the UN agencies working out of Geneva and I'm...

Re: IEC Working Holiday Vias + Remote UK Work

Sorry to jump on this but if my spouse and I are both employed by UK companies with no presence in Canada, can we live in Canada but still work remotely for these companies?

Might be putting in...

Re: IEC or PR? Travelling with common law partner

Thank you for this. What is "flagpolling"? From what you're saying it doesn't sound like something I need to be wary of but I have no idea what this means.

My CRS score was 484 when I did it...

Hi all,

I posted previously when it was just me but since then life has moved on in many ways. My fiancé and I are 29F and 31M, homeowners and have lived together as spouses since February 2020...

Re: ARRIVED! - Now moved to Maplewood, NJ

Jumping on this to say it's really important that you take this very seriously (am a vet) and make sure your regular flea/tick/worm protection is correct for your region and has the right active...

Re: B2 visa application and previous travel questions

You're right, there are a good few active forums for people hiking. Reddit has a really big backpacking community and I think they will also have good visa advice so I'm going to head there too. The...

Re: B2 visa application and previous travel questions

Yes this is absolutely my concern with planning for 90 days. People do hike the PCT in long sections so we could do it over two years but would be putting ourselves in difficulty with jobs because we...

Re: B2 visa application and previous travel questions

Re: B2 visa application and previous travel questions

This is very helpful, thank you! I assumed it was automatic, but either way it doesn't really matter as for the PCT if it all goes to plan we'd only need it for the one year. As an aside, if we...

B2 visa application and previous travel questions

Hi all,

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this but I've received helpful advice in the past so here goes. My boyfriend and I (29M, 27F) are in the process of planning a couple of big...

Re: Pet Insurance

I'm in the UK so take this with a pinch of salt but I am a vet and we like PetPlan. Yes you will struggle with dentals, but usually they will pay if you need extractions etc. Most vets have their...

Re: Fredericton - a good word

Whilst technically true, if you switch sports to rugby there's a premiership team ready and waiting!

Thanks for painting such a lovely picture. How do you find it for meeting new people? Many of...
