I didn't get any notice for 6 months after 'processing your application' was listed. The only notice I got was a fingerprint request in that 6 months. You may not get this request so should be ok...

Yeah, it makes no sense the way they interchange between email/electronically vs posting letters. Really frustrating.

Just updating: I called the RCMP in Ottawa and they said it was mailed to CIC in Vancouver on May 25 but the Vancouver office said they've not yet received it.

I got through on the phone and they said it is a fingerprints request. A little confused why they need it though as i've not had to submit them before with PR, Work permits etc

Thanks, I checked my email/spam but didn't get anything. I checked online and a few people mentioned they had to get fingerprints done, via a letter in the post. I'm not sure if thats it?

That is annoying. I remember having to do xrays, blood tests etc but the process didn't take too much longer after that. So hopefully shouldn't be too much longer :)
