WOW, congrats! Well done michelle! Will celebrate with you on saturday! Warwick sounds like my weekend..(Went to blackbutt)..but there was no sport involved in mine...or is drinking a sport now? :-)

I am with Suncorp and wish I wasn't. Too much hassle to change it now though, cause we have all our accounts linked together, payments going out etc.
Fees for overseas transfers are CRAZY..!

All I had to do was to bring the grant letter from DIMIA into next office, fill in an application form, show my visa..and that was it! I am on a de facto visa as well.

As Polly mentioned, I did the exact same thing than you. From a student visa to de facto - onsore.

Mine took 3 weeks, and that was even including problems with medicals. Didn't even...

I am pretty sure you only need a license for freshwater fishing. Definately NOT for the beach. Different in NSW though.

Outrigger Sun city- Most beautiful hotel, egyption style, kids club, great swimming pool, close to the city....

I am on a temp Resident Visa as well and it took me ages to get a job. I had more experience than others but at the end they always prefered Australians or Immigrants on a PR.
