There is no minimum amount of time that you need to have the funds for, having a bank statement showing more than $2500 is perfectly sufficient.

Yea they have a record of the fact that I had exchanged my license for a Canadian one:

"You do not hold a current GB driving licence, a licence has been issued by another licensing authority"

I'm afraid those are the changes made to ensure that the system favours Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents by limiting immigration to those that fill holes in the labour market (Shown by LMIA)...

To be classed as Arranged Employment and gain the additional 600 points in EE you need an LMIA.

Do you have relevant work experience in a skilled profession? Without that I don't think you're eligible for the Federal Skilled Worker stream and without Canadian work experience you're not eligible...
