IEC 2015
As the annual IEC frenzy approaches, I thought I'd start the 2015 thread.
Please keep all IEC related questions in this thread, and before asking questions please do search the thread, or last years (which can be found here - http://britishexpats.com/forum/immig...2014-a-817323/) as many questions have been asked and answered lots of times before, and also the official IEC page FAQ.
Best of luck to all of you.

Re: IEC 2015
The 2014 IEC thread is 143 pages long with 15 questions and answers per page.
I know everybody is anxious to ask and apply and wish each other luck. Most answers can be found on the main IEC webpage as linked here
Travel and Work in Canada | Frequently Asked Questions From the United Kingdom Students and Youth About Travel and Work in Canada | International Experience Canada
Please read the FAQ page as most if not all of the answers can be found on the webpage. You might ask a relevant question which then gets lost in 2 or 3 pages of good luck and I applied or where are you going etc etc etc. Help us to help you by not posting needless posts. As many have commented there are too many pages to read through for the answer so if you can't be bothered looking for the answer then why should we who are trying to help you.
Good luck to all.

Re: IEC 2015
Meaning that they were looking at amount if Canadians using each of the countries visas compared to that country using IEC...there is no way that 10,000 Canadians go to Ireland every year on a working holiday!!!

Same. I've got potential to stay but I've also got things going on back home in UK so it's worth getting the visa a then I have both options. Im just going to try and stay cool and calm and when they come out hopefully we will all get a place and remember to put the date in the right format and type name as it appears in passport lol

Re: IEC 2015
I don't reckon the numbers will get reduced. The IEC is kinda "under the radar" when it comes to TWP, even though it was sort of exposed a little while back. The Irish one might be affected I can't see them touching the UK one.
And besides... I don't think TWPs from "white" countries attract the same kind of attenton.

And actually it wouldn't surprise me if 10,000 Canadians do go to Ireland on the IEC every year, as it's incredibly popular.

Re: IEC 2015
So it makes me wonder why you think 10,000 Canadians go to Ireland on a WHV when it has already been established that less and less Canadians are using the WHV - on the other side though i do know my work colleague (Canadian) is going for her 2nd Australian WHV next year, so that one might be more popular

Re: IEC 2015
I haven't read about the Ireland thing anywhere but I do know that there was an article was linked on here that Canadians are not using the other countries working holidays as much as the countries are using IEC including UK and Ireland. That Jason Kearney guy or whoever is in charge of immigration was mentioned in it.

Would suggest that all countries would be under review, speculation on Ireland specifically probably comes from the number of Youth professional/intern permits still available.
I will say that Ireland is an incredibly popular destination for Canadians on the WHV, based on what I've been seeing.
