I actually don't think 779 is low at all. Don't forget the 200k is from all streams. the EE doesn't include all steams. If you take into account that about 80k are going to be PNP nominees that...

I am not confused, I have not been talking about getting a work permit with the file number from CIC (on the other hand you keep going back to what you need for a BOWP with the file number from CIC)...

No actually it isn't only for a Bridging Open Work Permit. This tool is used to determine if you can apply for many different visa's including student visa's, EIC visa's as will as Bridging work...

So you can get the WP by going to the border. That would be a lot faster than the on line application since we only live about a 2 hour drive from the border.

If you have a job offer in writing you should be able to get a closed work permit with your PNP nomination. You may have to phone the PNP office and ask for a letter from them. Without a job offer...
