Re: Joiner thinking to move to Christchurch

Re: Joiner thinking to move to Christchurch

I'll probably get jumped on here for being negative, but, I would strongly recommend you go out there for a look first.

You will be very surprised how different it actually is.

$25 - $30 NZD is...

Re: how do i settle in nz??!!

What you are feeling is loneliness and isolation, which is pretty common, especially as your husband works away.

Is it not possible to find a small part time job or maybe take up a hobbie or sport...

Re: Where to go

I stayed in Hamilton for a few weeks, in fact I was based there while I was in NZ.

There is a main strip in the centre which has a few bars and restaurants, obviously the gardens, a few decent...

Re: Good old Boris Johnson

I have never ever said "don't move to NZ" please someone find these quotes and stop blatantly telling lies.

Re: Good old Boris Johnson

As stated in previous posts, I started posting on here to give my opinions on what I saw in NZ, what I saw with the Christchurch re-build and what I experienced while there.

My opinions, not...

Re: Good old Boris Johnson

Regarding me moving on, I have been reading this forum for near 4 years, I do not have a deep seeded hatred for nz, but I also like to think I say things as I see them, don't get me wrong NZ has some...

Don't be sorry it didn't work out for me in NZ, I'm not.

This forum is supposed to be about NZ and living in NZ, the majority of your posts are...

Re: Good old Boris Johnson

I don't think you are lying about any illness, I think you should maybe reserve some of the comments from your dad.

I also think you have an overactive interest in the media, the story you found...

Re: Good old Boris Johnson

With all due respect, earlier last week you told us your parents or a parent was ill, would "your dad" still have these xenophobic views while being treated for free through the NHS by "Indian Ian or...

Re: Kiwi Professionalism

Many naive people do

People in the UK don't realise how good they have got it, that is the 1 thing I am thankful to NZ British expats and NZ itself, it made me appreciate what I have and where I...

Re: Kiwi Professionalism

I'd also like to add (I had to stop before, there was a Muslim terrorist on my garden) about the herald and media, it seemed to have a very overactive interest in negative world news, again mainly...

Re: Kiwi Professionalism

There is a hint of bitterness and hatred in some of the responses to anybody criticising NZ, this reminds me of brit expats...

Re: Kiwi Professionalism

This is getting rather petty now.

I think most people, myself included would appreciate good honest advice getting through, it does seem the negatives of NZ are glossed over and counted with "the...

Re: BuckBoys NZ observations - moved from - Emigrating from Kent to Auckland

Look, it just seems a lot of the truths, be it mainly negatives, are glossed over. People do their research but to find this research they have to dig through a lot of exaggeration, "oh you can see...

These piss filled lifts, heating-less flats with mould and no carpets, are they being sold for massively over valued prices.

If...

Re: BuckBoys NZ observations - moved from - Emigrating from Kent to Auckland

Like I said gareth, it was just what i witnessed while out there.

To me I just thought and still think the properties in the UK are built to a better standard, need less maintenance and will/have...
