We crossed at Peace Arch at around 9:45PM, went well. There was no line up and they helped us straight away! They even gave us cute little Canadian flags when the paper work was done. Super cheesy...

We have our COPR and are planning a day trip to Seattle tomorrow and will activate PR on our way back.

Any suggestions on where to re-enter? I realise that it will be busy as it will be Sunday...

If you have already established residence in Canada when activating PR would they still ask to see proof of funds?

I realise this, I am trying to find out if I make a TRV application (which will take 3 days online as per AD site) they would consider issuing the TWP at PoE?

I know I'm grasping at straws, but...

I have a South African passport, would it be possible to apply for a TRV and then apply for the TWP at the PoE with medical done? Or is that too risky? I'm not sure that they will issue a TRV as I am...

I don't think that anyone can answer that for sure, only the border agent when you arrive. If you want to know for sure before you go have you considered applying online for your TWP before you go?

I get what you're saying, the information on the website indicated that applying online was equivalent to applying in Canada, as you are applying through the central office and not your local...

It would make more sense to me if it was working days. As the update of working on applications on the 22nd is from the 18th December.
