LMO timelines
It would be great to know people's recent experiences of time taken for LMOs. Is there a diference between different provinces / different skill levels etc? Or is it a first come, first served basis?

Re: LMO timelines
It depends if your employer already has a 'blanket or open LMO' application in place for a specific role (to which they just add your name), or if they are starting from scratch or not.
Mine was the former and was granted in 4 days.
Not sure how long 'standard' ones take at the moment. There is currently no fast-track LMO route due to abuse of the system. That was suspended at the end of April 2013.

It varies, mainly depending on province. Figure about 12-16 weeks and you won't go far wrong.

Re: LMO timelines
Has anyone used the Online LMO process? Is that quicker than the other way? Sorry I don't usually take much notice of how an LMO is processed. All I know is that my husbands boss is able to process online this time around. So hoping for a faster turn around as his TWP expires mid March.

LMO lodgement went in in September, but I guess I will believe it all when I see it. Can't believe Mikey waited six months Pff

It was worth it as I'm here now , better to be slow and have a positive LMO than have it processed quickly and get a negative result. Now to get paperwork together to apply for FSW2

Yep, agree, CONGRATS Mike, you were always a nice, patient role model for the process.

Re: LMO timelines
I just got off the phone with prospective employer - he said it is likely to be soon as already indicated. He was friendly and upbeat so fingers crossed! Gotta say it is kinda nice of them to wait this long for me
