Decided not to go in the end- did end up being a good race but ah well, go to watch it on tv at least!

Bahrain Grand Prix

Thinking of a bit of a last minute 'jump on a plane and go to the grand prix' at the weekend.

Found tickets/flights etc but looking for advice on a hotel- whereabouts would anyone recommend...

I think it's now pretty much certain to have gone done in the South Indian Ocean- many debris reports and 'sighting' and relatives been told to assume this is the case- and are now being flown to...

Last time I went to the Natural History Musuem on a british school holiday day, the queue to get in was ridiculous! Depends when you are going but if it is during english hols, get there early!!

But where are the transmitters that emit the signal? Ground or satelite? Thought I read somewhere that over the sea there is limited radar so that's why theory is it's gone South rather than North...

I know phones wouldn't work at 45,000 feet but at lower altitudes maybe. I know during 9/11 people on board were able to phone in- I know this is a very different situation etc but just odd that in...

What's so puzzling in all of this is the fact that there is no indication of anything from the passengers. In todays day and age, communication from cell phones is so common- surely if a hijacking...
