Sorry to bump the old thread but as i can't see any replies, I thought to step in.

Basically with today's prices, you can easily get a real nice flat for about 600 euros a month...

If you are on the budget, keep an eye on the Hotel's sellouts. Every 10 years they are required to refurnish/refurbish most of their furniture.

I would suggest to nail down all the big companies and with your experience, try to find a maintenance guy job. Many of these companies (shipping, forex, financial centers) have may expats working...
